SYLLABUS FOR B. TECH. HANDLOOM AND TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY REGULATION 2013
We at padeepz have provided syllabus of B. TECH. HANDLOOM AND TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY in this page. This department HANDLOOM AND TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY at Anna University for 2013 regulation consists of eight semester. Where the First semester is common for all department except Marian Engineering and B. Arch.
The second semester consists of few common papers and two department related papers.
Subjects like technical English 2, maths 2 MA6251, physics 2 PH6251, chemistry 2 CY6251 are common to most of the department. Whereas subjects like BEEE Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering GE6252, GE6253 EM Engineering Mechanics comes for certain department. The practical’s in the second sem has physics lab, computer programming lab and computer aided drafting CAD modelling lab.
The third semester is where the students start studying the core subjects. Whereas the maths for this department is called as Probability and statistics which carries four credit points. And the core subjects like pre waving process, pre spinning process, textile physics, Fabric structure 1 and handloom weaving technology. The core subjects carry three credit points. Whereas the practical like textile design and colour lab and handloom weaving lab comes with the credit of two and one respectively.
The fourth semester starts with the maths paper named as Numerical methods and it carries four credit points whereas other subjects like Environmental science and engineering, Solid mechanics, Technology of yam spinning and fabric structure 2 carries 3 points each. Four points allotted for fabric manufacture 1. Practical subjects like HT6411 and HT6412 has two points.
Fifth semester in handloom and textile technology has five theory subjects and four practicals.
The subjects like Advanced Fabric Structure, Quality Evaluation of Fibres and Yarns, Chemical Processing of Textile Materials I, Technology of Manufactured Fibre Production has three points and Knitting Technology has four points. Lab for Employability Skills carries one credit whereas Weaving Laboratory, Chemical Processing Laboratory I, Fibre and Yarn Quality Evaluation Laboratory has two credit each.
Sixth semester in this department has Fabric Manufacture 2, Fabric Quality Evaluation, Financial Management for Textile and Apparel Industries, Mechanics of Textile Machinery, Chemical Processing of Textile Materials 2 are allotted with three points. Garment Manufacturing Technology is allotted with four points.Whereas practical lab carry two point Chemical Processing Laboratory II and Fabric Quality Evaluation Laboratory.
Seventh Semester for handloom and textile technology has five subjects. Among these subjects one subjects is from elective paper. Mechanics of Yarn and Fabrics, Total Quality Management for Textile Industry, Operations Research for Textile Industry, Clothing Comfort. Apart from these subjects students can selected one more subject from elective 1 list of subjects. Only one lab in the seventh semester Garment Construction Laboratory for two points.
The Last semester or the eight semester has only two subject were the both subjects are elective and one project work. The project work carries 6 points and elective paper carries three credit points. List of elective papers are available in the pdf file.
